In 1993, Shell developed the KidzArt / Art Innovators concept with co-founder Chris Cruikshank.

Shell has a Masters of Science degree in Vocational and Career Counseling and has worked in the field for over 15 years owning and operating her own career counseling practice. She has been featured twice in a major metropolitan newspaper, on a TV news program and has written several published articles on topics of "Career Change" and "Doing What You Love For A Living." Shell has worked independently and for others as a secondary education teacher, trainer, counselor, business owner, color consultant and artist.

With the KidzArt / Art Innovators concept franchised in July 2002, Shell.s vision for quality art programming for children and adults was realized. Shell dedicated 12 years to meeting the needs for high quality foundational visual arts programming.
