    About KidzArt
    KidzArt is a children’s after-school fine art program that offers children ages preschool-8th grade the opportunity to build upon their artistic skills in drawing, painting, and design. Our art educators provide a safe environment where children of all skill levels can experience the benefits of creative expression. Our weekly art classes and camps are offered after-school at various locations throughout Wake County. This position is mostly remote, however, instances will require travel to various private or local schools to assist staff or drop off supplies to instructors.

    Responsibilities:
    • Hire, manage, and train instructors and instructional assistants.
    • Manage all program offerings, including registration procedures and handling all communication with parents.
    • Ensure staff is supplied with all projects and materials needed to conduct classes
    • Manage KidzArt social media accounts

    Qualifications:
    • Strong organization and communication skills
    • At least 3 years experience in a related role
    • Must be available between the hours of 3:30pm- 5:30pm, Monday through Thursday.
    • Outgoing and energetic.
    • Ability to attend meetings to plan projects and develop and strengthen skill sets.
    • Must be able to pass a background check
    • Must have own transportation.

Our weekly art classes and camps are offered after-school at various locations throughout Wake County. As an art instructor with KidzArt, you’ll use the methods and principles designed and taught by KidzArt to help students take their artistic skills to the next level.

    Responsibilities:
    • Set up the class, demonstrate the project, and teach various artistic techniques while helping students reach their creative potential.
    • Teach techniques in drawing, painting, and design to students in grades preschool-8th grade.
    • Run and manage a classroom according to KidzArt methods and standards.
    • Provide a nurturing environment that is fun, exciting, and educational
    • Encourage and help children expand their artistic skills.

    Qualifications:
    • Enjoy working with children.;
    • Must be willing to travel to various schools in Wake County to teach classes.
    • Must be available between the hours of 3pm-5pm, Monday through Thursday.
    • Outgoing and energetic.
    • Strong background (work or self-taught) in art (with portfolio examples).
    • Ability to attend meetings to plan projects and develop and strengthen skill sets.
    • Be able to relate to and teach children of all ages (preschool-8th grade);
    • Must have own transportation.
    •Must be able to pass a background check; • Strong communication skills.

  • Assistant Art Instructor (Part-Time)

    KidzArt is a children’s after-school fine art program that offers children ages preschool-8th grade the opportunity to build upon their artistic skills in drawing, painting, and design. Our art educators provide a safe environment where children of all skill levels can experience the benefits of creative expression. Our weekly art classes and camps are offered after-school at various locations throughout Wake County. As an assistant art instructor for KidzArt, you’ll be working directly with the art instructors in making sure students are gaining the most out of their art experience with KidzArt. This includes (but not limited to) assisting students with their artwork and ensuring the classes/camps are run according to KidzArt rules and procedures.

    Responsibilities:
    • Encourage and help children expand their artistic skills
    • Ensure the class is set-up, supplies are distributed, and the space is cleaned and returned to original conditional after each project.
    • Provide a fun and engaging experience by providing structures activities outside of art projects.
    • Manage and track inventory of art supplies and materials

    Qualifications:
    • Enjoy working with children.
    • Must be willing to travel to various schools in Wake County to teach classes. • Must be available between the hours of 3:30pm- 5:30pm, Monday through Thursday.
